The Bruges Meeting & Convention Centre (BMCC) has opened its doors in January 2022. The BMCC is located in the historical city centre, within easy walking distance from most hotels and sights. The trade fair section at the ground floor measures 4 500m² and has a multi-propose for public events, expos and even concerts. The conference section has a capacity of meetings and conferences from 10 up to 514 attendants. All facilities are available: a plenary hall with – among other things – 514 retractable seats, a large foyer, poster areas, twelve modular break-out rooms and a catering area on the top floor offering magnificent views of the city. - Level 0: As delegates walk in, they are welcomed in the entrance area of BMCC (381 m²), where they can pick up their badges and delegate bags, before they go up to the first floor. - Lockers, cloakroom and toilets are based at the lower level (-1). - Level 1: Before entering the plenary room at level 1, delegates can enjoy a welcome coffee in the foyer area on level 1(176 m²) . The plenary room has a full capacity of 514 seats in a retractable auditorium (514 m²). The plenary can be divided into 2 separate rooms if needed. Basic technical equipment is provided in the room, as well as translator booths. - On the 3 rd floor there are 12 meeting rooms, all with ample daylight. Sizes vary between 31 and 93 m². In the foyer area on the 3 rd floor (392 m²) there is space for networking, coffee breaks and sponsor booths. - Level 4: Dinners, coffee breaks and lunches can be held at the spacious catering area on the top floor (675 m²), with spectacular views over the UNESCO protected city of Bruges. There is also a smaller dining area of 92 m². From the terrace delegates can enjoy the view over the rooftops of the medieval city. The well renowed Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto De Moura and the antwerp-based firm META architectuurbureau was selected to design the new building.
