The name "Tsutenkaku" means "a high building that reaches up to the sky".It was designed by architect Taka Naito, who also designed the Tokyo Tower. The current building was completed in 1956 and is the second generation of Tsutenkaku. The height of the tower is 103 meters with the lightning rod.
