Mount Fuji

Well-known symbol of Japan and frequently depicted in art and photographs, it is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m lying about 100 kilometers south-west of Tokyo. It was added to the World Heritage List as a Cultural Site on June 22, 2013. A 90-minute drive from the hotel takes you to the base of the mountain and you can see this exceptionally symmetrical cone which is snow-capped several months a year.

Odawara Castle

The castle use to be the family residence of feudal lord Hojo. You can retrace the mighty steps of feudal lords in this elegant place which has come through the Edo age to the present day. Take a step back in time with feudal costumes - at the Tokiwagi gate of the castle, you can hire samurai armor and kimono and have your photograph taken wearing the outfit with the castle in the background. Easily accessible from the hotel by car or JR train in 10 minutes.
