The Fine Arts Palace, sited in the Mexico City Historical Center, the country’s most important center, is destined to all kinds of culture expressions. Construction began in 1904, with the purpose of replacing the demolished Teatro Nacional de Mexico (Mexico National Theater). Ángel de la Independencia

It is located in junction of Paseo de la Reforma, Río Tíber and Florencia. The inauguration was in 1910 by commands of Porfirio Díaz (former Mexico president) with the purpose of commemorating the Independence Centenary. The Angel of Independence is one of the most emblematic monuments: • Popularly known as El Ángel (The Angel). • Honorary column topped by the statue of Victoria Alada (Winged Victory). • Used as an cultural icon of Mexico City. • It rises from a staggered pedestal, made of different statues and inscriptions allegoric to the country’s Independence. • Numerous kinds of festivities and national demonstrations take place at the Angel.

Museo de Antropología One of the most important museographical institutions of Mexico and Latin America. It is designed to hold and exhibit the archeological legacy of the Mesoamarica natives, and, as well, to acknowledge the country’s current ethnical diversity.
