Het CCIB (Barcelona International Convention Centre), geopend in 2004, is een van de grootste congrescentra in Zuid-Europa en ligt op een bevoorrechte locatie tegenover de Middellandse Zee en in het nieuwe technologische en zakelijke district van Barcelona. Het CCIB bestaat uit twee gebouwen met een geweldige architecturale flair, het Convention Center, dat is ontworpen om licht een centrale rol te laten spelen in de ruimte en tegelijkertijd de visuele impact op de omgeving te minimaliseren, en het Forum-gebouw dat een wereldberoemd embleem is geworden van het moderne Barcelona met zijn enorme blauwe driehoek van 25 meter hoog. Met een bruto oppervlakte van 100.000 m² en een capaciteit tot 15.000 deelnemers onderscheidt de CCIB zich door de flexibiliteit en veelzijdigheid van zijn ruimtes die efficiënt bijdragen aan het succes van kleine en grootschalige evenementen. Single-use plastic items are not used at the CCIB anymore.

100% of the energy consumed at the CCIB comes from renewable sources. 40% comes from exclusive generation wind parks within the region. The remaining 60% is also green energy, but even if the origin cannot be identified, it has the certificate from the National Markets and Competition Commission. Apart from that, the CCIB has 1 wind turbine and 5 solar panels that generate 1,710kWh per year approx.
