The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,500 m2 (619,000 sq ft) building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003.

There is the biggest flag in the world, and yes, it's our national flag! There you can walk, eat in restaurants, go to the Puppet Theatre, Park Bulvar mall, drink tea while sitting outside of the cafe, move by the Ferris wheel, visit the Carpet Museum. It's the perfect place for people, who like to run, ride a bicycle, take a ride on a boat in Little Venice. Little Venice is an area within Baku Boulevard that is made up of man-made waterways. It was built in 1960 but was later expanded in 2012 and consists of a labyrinth of canals interspersed with islands that are connected by stone bridges complete with gondolas plying the canals. It was out of season and the canals were being dredged when we visited in November 2019. Little Venice isn't meant to be strictly authentic but it is a fun activity along Baku Boulevard.

The theater was built in 1910 by a famous architect named Nikolai Bayev and, as with other examples of Azerbaijani architecture from the beginning of the 20th century, it blends elements of baroque, rococo, and Moorish styles. This building is closely connected with the development of Azerbaijani opera, which began in 1908 with the first opera in the Muslim East – Leyli and Majnun – composed by one of the finest composers of the 20th century and the founder of Azerbaijani classical music, Uzeyir Hajibeyli.

Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum was established in accordance with decree No. 130 of the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan SSR dated March 13, 1967. From 1967 to 1993, the museum was called the Azerbaijan State Museum of Carpet and Folk Applied Arts, from 1993 to 2014 – State Museum of Carpet and Applied Arts named after Latif Karimov, from 2014 to 2019 – Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, and from 2019 to the present – Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum.

The Maiden Tower (Azerbaijani: Qız Qalası) is a 12th-century monument in the Old City, Baku, Azerbaijan. Along with the Shirvanshahs' Palace, dated to the 15th century, it forms a group of historic monuments listed in 2001 under the UNESCO World Heritage List of Historical Monuments as cultural property, Category III. It is one of Azerbaijan's most distinctive national emblems and is thus featured on Azeri currency notes and official letterheads. Baku Ferris Wheel, also known as the Baku Eye and Devil's Wheel, is a Ferris wheel on Baku Boulevard in the Seaside National Park of Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. The wheel was built by the Dutch company Dutch Wheels. It was opened on 10 March 2014. The wheel is 60 meters (200 ft) tall and has 30 cabins, each holding eight people. It makes a complete turn in 30 to 40 minutes. The cabinets of the Ferris wheel are equipped with conditioners. Small monitors have been set up so that passengers can spend their time entertaining.
