About us

Nestled amongst native bush, vineyards, mountains and rural grasslands of the vibrant Wairarapa wine region, Copthorne Hotel & Resort Solway Park, one of Wairarapa’s most luxurious hotels is set on 24 acres of landscaped parklands and fragrant gardens on the outskirts of Masterton and only 3 kilometres from the town centre. With Air New Zealand’s direct flight between Auckland and Masterton, the region and resort are easily accessible with Masterton Airport only 2 kilometers away from the hotel. Wellington International Airport and the inter island ferry terminal are located 100 kilometres south of Masterton, only an 1 ½ hour drive to Wellington and approximately an 1 hour and 45 minutes by train. Nearby attractions include local vineyards, the Queen Elizabeth Park and Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre. Enjoy canoeing, fishing, ballooning and other activities locally. The Copthorne Hotel & Resort Solway Park is a 4 Star Plus Qualmark rated Hotel and has been invited to apply for the Enviro-Silver rating (not yet awarded).
