The Jade Vine located in Manila, Philippines has the distinction of being the first restaurant in Manila to serve daily smorgasbord, a practice which still continues to this day. With the Ermita district being developed in 1976 by the Department of Tourism as part of the tourist belt, Jade Vine expanded its operations by opening up a 24-room Executive Inn catering to foreign and local tourists traveling on a budget. The Jade Vine also provides banquet facilities which can accommodate 300 persons, making Jade Vine an ideal place for wedding receptions, seminars, business meetings and the like.
