A truly unique experience. The cable car ride to Plaun is itself quite unique. When you arrive, you will be met with torches at La Vacca. Hot on the heels of the elephant! The name may sound peculiar for a restaurant situated at 2,477 metres above sea level. However, there is a very simple explanation. As part of the ‘Crap Art’ cultural campaign, an elephant from a visiting circus spent four days on Crap Masegn in summer 1992 and enjoyed the magnificent views there each morning. In honour of the elephant, the restaurant was given this name in winter 1992/93. Hosts Yvonne Marx and Sascha Meyer place great emphasis on comfort, hospitality and fine dining and their restaurant has 14 Gault Millau points. You simply have to try the legendary penne pasta served in a hollowed-out Parmesan wheel.
