Maldron Hotel Wexford

The ruins of Tintern Abbey are well worth a visit during your stay at Maldron Hotel Wexford. This 12th century Cistercian abbey was founded by William Marshall and is named after Tintern in Wales. The ruins today include a tower, chapel and cloister as well as stunning wooded walks around the grounds of the abbey. Guided tours are available during peak season and last up to 45 minutes. Tintern Tea Rooms are also open daily. Tintern Abbey is located only a 29km drive from Maldron Hotel Wexford.

The present structure of Hook Lighthouse is estimated to be 800 years old and is the oldest intact operational lighthouse in the world. Hook Lighthouse offers guided tours all year round and is one of the top attractions along Ireland Ancient East. During the guided tour, you will have the opportunity to climb the 115 steps to the spectacular views from the lighthouse balcony.
