The Museum, which is centered on musical instruments, can be found in San Jose Plaza in Old San Juan in a building that dates back to the 18th century. The museum is devoted to the famous Spanish cellist Pablo Casals who passed away in the early 1970's and it is full of memorabilia that originated with him. Nearly forty years later Pablo's music and his humanist crusades against political oppression still live on.

The Catedral de San Juan is a beautiful and central religious landmark not just in Old San Juan, but for all of Puerto Rico. The church has been burned, looted, and wrecked by hurricanes, but it has withstood the test of time and now is the island's most revered religious site. Inside, a tour of the church reveals Ponce de León's remains, the glass-encased mummy of St. Pio, a Roman martyr, and lovely stained-glass windows.
