Hotel Zeelandia Suites stands along a beautiful square, in the heart of the liveliest entertainment center of Paramaribo. Fort Zeelandia, a colonial fort in stone, was built by the Dutch in the early 18th century. A historical museum of the “Stichting Surinaams Museum” (Foundation Surinamese Museum) is located in this Fort Zeelandia.
