The award-winning building was designed to house some of Norway's most valuable art, formerly known as Astrup Fearnley Museet. The venues are of unique character, with 9 meters of headroom, open floors and central location, a stonethrow from Oslo Central Station. Gamle Museet is a banqueting venue, that is excellently suitable for every social event, such as conferences, kick-offs, weddings, Christmas parties, fairs, company parties, art exhibitions, fashion shows, concerts, performances, lectures and other arrangements - with or without dining. A short distance from public transporation with every buss- and tramlines in immediate vicinity, 200 meters to the nearest parkinghouse (Bankplassen P-hus) and a two minutes walk to Oslo Sentral. Gamle Museet banqueting venues has a gross exhibition space of about 1200 m2 and garage entrance in the basement with a door with of 3,3 meters. The venue is approved to house up to 950 guests.
