The Avenue® Murfreesboro is Tennessee’s largest open-air shopping and dining center, and features nationally-known brand stores as well as charming boutiques. Anchor stores include Belk, Michael’s, Best Buy, Off Broadway Shoes, Barnes & Noble, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Other stores include American Eagle, Charming Charlie, Loft, Dress Barn, Bath & Body Works, Chico’s, Express, Hollister, Kirkland’s, New York & Company, Old Navy, Victoria’s Secret, White House Black Market, World Market, Yankee Candle and more.

This 650-acre national park and cemetery is dedicated to preserving the memory of those who fought and died at this crucial Civil War battle. More than 81,000 soldiers fought in the Battle of Stones River--a battle that turned out to be a major victory for Union forces. Interpretive programs and living history demonstrations are presented throughout the year.

Caught in the cross fire of the Civil War! This nationally registered historic landmark reflects a prosperous time reminiscent of rolling plantations and Southern belles and was occupied by both Union and Confederate armies.

A hands-on museum and environmental center for visitors of all ages, the Discovery Center boasts hundreds of fun exhibits, 20 acres of outdoor wetlands, daily programs, and a two-story slide!

Cannonsburgh, the original name for Murfreesboro, is a reconstructed Southern village with a gristmill, one-room schoolhouse, town hall, log home, church, general store and a working blacksmith's shop that serve as reminders of life in pioneer times. Cannonsburgh is also home to the World's Largest Cedar Bucket--come check it out! Hosted at Cannonsburgh each year is the award-winning Uncle Dave Macon Days festival, celebrating old-time music and dance. Uncle Dave was the first superstar of the Grand Ole Opry and is considered one of the forefathers of country music. Featuring music, arts and crafts, food and dancing, Uncle Dave Macon Days is fun for the whole family. Held each year, the second weekend of July.
