Petul Apart Hotel "City Garden" was opened in March 2011 and is located in Essen’s centre, right in the middle between the central train station and the World Heritage Zollverein. It lies in Essen’s southern city park. Petul Apart Hotel "City Garden" has carefully restored the building’s structural imbalance, which was caused by mining, and made it deliberately visible in order to bestow reverence to the mining history. The 39 comfortable apartments are kept in Mediterranean colors and are furnished with great love for details. The hotel’s colorful and lively facade acts as a counterpoint to the grey history of mining.
