In 1954, Bob Stanley (the first American to fly a jet plane) pioneered ejection seat manufacturing used in high-performance military aircraft. Although the Aurora factory floor has long been dormant, the Stanley Aviation was retooled and rebranded in 2017 as the Stanley Marketplace.
The historic building is now a multi-use public market that is home to 50+ independently owned and operated business from craft beer and fine wine to hand glazed donuts and New York-style bagels. Along with bounce gyms and art galleries as well as boutiques and barber shops, innovation is still very much alive at Stanley Marketplace.
The Colorado Freedom Memorial will be the first Monument in America to honor veterans of all wars, by name, in one place. Regardless of one's rank; one's branch of service; or one's generation of conflict, giving your life for your country is the highest price to be paid.
In the 4 years since this monument was dedicated, thousands of individuals have come to visit, shed tears, reminisce, pay tribute, and remember the sacrifices of others. The monument is often the center of ceremonies and memorial services as well as destination along the routes' of many motorcyclist.

The only tasting room brewery of its kind in Aurora, Dry Dock has carved out a diverse and die-hard clientele in the community, drawing people from all over the Denver Metro area to their award-winning brews.
On select Saturday morning, Dry Dock Brewery offers a small group yoga class in its South Dock barrel room, followed by an opportunity to unwind further with discounted suds in its tasting room.
This 2,500-acre site offers fishing, sailing, non-motorized boating, windsurfing, a seasonal swim beach, SCUBA area, archery range, and large group picnic shelters. Stroll or ride your bike on the 8 mile multi-use, concrete trail that circles the reservoir. The site also includes a certified 5K trail and is home to many races and triathlons. The City of Aurora also hosts the $10,000 Trout Tournament at the Reservoir.

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is Colorado’s Official Air & Space Museum. Founded in 1994 and housed in the former Lowry Air Force Base, Wings is dedicated to inspiring, educating, and entertaining the public about aviation and space endeavors of the past, present and future.
Inside the 182,000 square foot aircraft hanger, visitors will find over 50 aircraft on display dating from 1939 to 1990. With a passion for hands-on experience, Wings offers thrilling flight simulators and a learning center dedicated to the expansion of aerospace education in Colorado.
The Aurora Sports Park is a 220-acre site that plays host to major local, state, and national competitions and offers 12 baseball/softball fields as well as 27 soccer/multi-use fields. The Sports Park's versatility provides state-of-the-art competition space for other sports including cross country, football, rugby, lacrosse and more. The professionally maintained fields and facilities hosts more than 350,000 visitors annually.
The Sports Park has recently expanded with four new lighted, multi-use synthetic turf fields with more than 350 additional parking spaces, spectator seating with benches, picnic tables, low seating walls and landscape berms, an all-season restroom with vending kiosk, and a variety of water-conserving trees and shrubs making it the perfect competition space for any activity.
Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre was designed as a large-scale earth sculpture with rolling grassy slopes and spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains. Originally built to host community festivals and symphonic music, it was commissioned by the Museum of Outdoor Arts in 1982 and designed by renowned landscape architect George Hargreaves.
