The Templehall Hotel, Morebattle, a family run village inn is beautifully located in the tranquil countryside of the Scottish Borders. Our four well appointed bedrooms are maintained to a high standard of comfort and cleanliness to provide our guests with a satisfying stay and a good night's sleep. We have recently renovated the old dairy adjacent to the main building to provide two self-catering cottages, newly decorated and furnished. Our cosy public bar - Morebattle's village ''local'' - serves cask ale, fine wines and a good selection of bottled ales. Our dining room is also available for hire as a venue for functions, seating approximately 80. We regularly stage a variety of events, including parties, dinner dances, christening and funeral receptions, seminars, club meetings and live music.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!

Our company was founded in 2008 by Alana Hoye Barnaba. Originally from upstate New York, Alana moved to New York City and immediately began her love affair with its food, history, and culture. For years before creating her company, Alana tried every type of food the city had to offer and began specializing in the tastes of ethnic neighborhoods. Some of her first experiences with the city’s culinary adventures were fresh dumplings and homemade mozzarella — foods included on the signature tour today. Soon after, Alana started Ahoy New York Tours & Tasting and has been sharing her love for the passion, culture, and history of the city through food tours of New York neighborhoods. Ahoy New York Tours and Tasting’s goal with each tour is for customers to leave not only with the knowledge of the area and full of delicious food but also an experience to tell friends and family about long after the tour is complete
