The Hotel Tonnara Trabia is situated at the entrance of Trabia, a village between Palermo and Cefalu, in an area rich in history and natural beauties, near to the Principi Lanza Castle; it was born after a careful restoration of the ancient Tonnara of the XVI century where, in the period between May and June, the ancient ceremony of the so-called "mattanza" took place, a cruel but fascinating tunny fishing which was made under the precise order of the Rais and which was accompanied by songs whose rhythm stressed the fishing. The hotel is open all year long and is composed of 114 rooms, equipped with modern facilities. The hotel is an ideal place for meetings and conferences.
