The Ballhaus Berlin opened its doors to the dance-crazed Berlin audiences of the Belle Epoque back in 1905. Come right on in, enjoy and revel in the spirit of yesteryear until the early morning hours. Stucco walls and a spiral staircase, table telephones and chandeliers bear witness to the rich history of the establishment and induce a singular, warm and inspiring atmosphere, unique even in Berlin. The Ballhaus Berlin has long attracted curious people with a taste for all things nostalgic.

With its numerous institutions that have evolved over generations, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin constitutes an encyclopaedic museum, spread over many different sites, that aims to preserve, research, and display art treasures and cultural artefacts dating from all human history, and educate the public about their importance. The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin’s collections encompass the fields of European and non-European art, archaeology and ethnology from virtually all nations, cultures, and periods.

The Labyrinth Children's Museum is a project of the Fabrik Osloer Straße and with more than 1.5 million visitors (children and adults) since its foundation in 1997. It is a regular and a popular inherent part of Berlin's cultural and educational landscape. With its permanent partner, the Senatsverwaltung responsible for education, youth and family and in cooperation with numerous institutes, companies, artists and scientists, which develop an abundance of ideas for interactive exhibitions, projects, workshops, and events.

The Zeiss-Großplanetarium (Zeiss Grand Planetarium) is the most modern science theatre in Europe. It was erected as one of the last representative buildings of the former GDR on the occasion of Berlin's 750th anniversary in 1987. Its dome with a diameter of 30 metres dominates the Berlin cityscape. A large planetarium hall with 307 seats and a cinema hall with 160 seats offer space for exciting forays through the world of astronomy and science. After modernisation lasting almost two years (2014 - 2016), the building is now equipped with new media technology and has also realigned its content. The planetarium no longer shows only astronomical programmes, but introduces visitors to the diversity of all natural sciences. Especially with the new full dome technology, scientifically challenging topics can be presented in an impressive and entertaining way. Music, culture and theatre round off the vast range of content available at the planetarium.
