Built in the 1920s, The Barfield was Amarillo’s first skyscraper and played host to the city’s illustrious business empire. Today, it pays homage to its heritage with Art Deco design and a historic elevator lobby. Meanwhile downstairs, in true Prohibition style, Amarillo’s ‘worst kept secret’, the Paramount Recreation Club, tempts visitors and locals alike with a warm welcome and a hotly anticipated cocktail.Just steps away from Polk Street, guests will find a number of quirky boutiques and eateries nearby.
