About us
The 14th century Hospitium is licensed to hold Wedding and Civil Partnership ceremonies and provides a peaceful, private and atmospheric venue. It is a two-storey listed building set within the beautiful Museum Gardens, overlooked by the striking ruins of St Mary’s Abbey - the perfect setting for your wedding photographs. The Hospitium is available for hire throughout the day and evening. The ground floor is ideal for your wedding ceremony and can be quickly converted to an open area for a drinks reception after the formalities are completed. The first floor, with its high ceiling and half-timbered walls, provides a stunning dining room for your wedding breakfast. We can host seated dinners for up to 135 guests and drinks/buffet receptions for up to 200 guests. We are located in Museum Gardens, Museum Street in New Yorkshire.
