With an amazing natural setting on the lakes of Caragh Lake, Ard na Sidhe Country has something unique to offer the discerning visitor to Kerry. An ambience of graceful elegance is combined with modern comforts while retaining an old world enchantment with the collection of antique furnishings and paintings. The 18 bedroom house lies nestled between 32 acres of spectacular gardens. Hidden pathways and secret glades give way to the lake & mountains beyond. The gardens were originally designed by Lady Edith Gordon, a keen gardener, traveller and writer.

Set within a short drive of several of the South West’s major golf courses, Ard na Sidhe Country House Hotel offers an ideal base for golf holidays in Ireland. The Killarney Golf & Fishing Club (16 miles/25.9km) is comprised of three championship courses. The 18-hole Killeen course (par 72) was the venue for two Irish Opens and was host to the 2010 Irish Open. The 18-hole O'Mahony’s Point course (par 72) boasts stunning views of the iconic Killarney Lakes and the McGillicuddy Reeks. We are delighted to offer discounted green fee rates to our guests. Dooks Golf Club (5.5 miles/8.9km) With majestic views of the Wild Atlantic Ocean and the nearby Reeks mountain range, which is home to the highest mountain in Ireland, Dooks Golf Links offers a visual feast of scenery at the edge of Dingle Bay as well as a technical challenge for all golfers. The Beaufort Golf Club (9.5 miles/15.7km) is an 18-hole / Par 71 Parkland course set around the ruins of a 12th century castle. The Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club (23.2 miles/37.4km) is a majestic 18 hole/par 71 Links course overlooking Kenmare. The Tralee Golf Club (31.1 miles/50km) Links course was designed by Arnold Palmer and offers breath-taking views of the wild Atlantic sea (18-hole /par 71). Waterville Golf Club (32.7 miles/52.6km) is a favourite of Tiger Woods, Mark O'Meara and the late Payne Stewart (18-hole links course/Par 72). The Ballybunion Golf Club (40 miles/65.1km) Links course is favoured by Tom Watson, Bill Clinton & Robert Trent Jones. Considered to be one of the finest golf courses in the world, it comprises 2 Championship 18-hole courses.

Rossbeigh Beach is a wonderful spot with a lovely sandy beach stretching for over 11 kilometres directly opposite Inch Beach on the Dingle Peninsula. It is located just off the Ring of Kerry about 1.5 kilometers from the village of Glenbeigh which has lots of places to eat, drink and stay. It’s a great location for long walks, horse trekking, swimming and water sports.

Dingle town is a charming fishing port, the most westerly in Europe and a truly memorable destination. Brightly painted houses and busy streets lead you to the harbour, where you can meet Fungi, a playful bottle-nosed dolphin who has made Dingle Bay his home. A full day can be spent visiting the Dingle Peninsula (approx. 10.30am - 5pm) and tours can be arranged. Beginning in Dingle town you will take a looped tour of the Peninsula along the Slea Head Drive as it twists and turns through some of the most ruggedly beautiful landscape in Ireland. Highlights include views of the Blasket Islands and visits to Gallarus Oratory and the Beehive Huts as well as the Blasket Heritage Centre which is home to one of Ireland’s finest collections of authentic Stone Age, Bronze Age, Celtic and Viking artifacts giving visitors a fascinating insight into Ireland’s history. The trip brings you back to Dingle town where you can spend time visiting the local art and crafts, shops, cafés and bars or simply strolling along the harbour and marina.

Killarney National Park contains the most extensive areas of natural woodland remaining in Ireland. The park today covers an area of over 26,000 acres with numerous walking trails. The park also boasts the three world famous Lakes of Killarney. There are an abundance of walks, trails and cycle paths intertwined throughout the park and every corner turned is a new photo opportunity. There are a number of quaint thatched cottages where explorers can stop for tea and cake (seasonal). Optional extras in the Killarney National Park are Jaunting Car Rides (horse and cart), Boat Trips on the Lakes and Horse Riding.

The morning begins in the colourful market town of Killorglin before travelling on to the Kerry Bog Village, a thatched village and National Heritage award winning site. The tour encompasses Kerry’s rugged mountains, scenic lakeland valleys and timeless rural character, visiting the towns and villages of Caherciveen, Waterville and Sneem. On return, the circuitous trip will bring you through Moll’s Gap, a panoramic beauty spot with views stretching over the Ring of Kerry, to Ladies View which looks towards Killarney.
