Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Nautisch Kwartier is situated in a wonderful location in Huizen in the province of North Holland, right next to Fletcher De Kalkovens. Our hotel can be found in Huizen, at the northern side of the old harbor the Oude Haven, fronting onto the Gooimeer Lake. The hotel has well equipped and furnished 80 comfortable hotel rooms including 4 suites. Adjacent to our beautiful hotel is the picturesque event venue De Kalkovens. Fletcher De Kalkovens is a unique provincial historical building. We also have 8 multi-functional halls and a restaurant for meetings, parties and celebrations.

The Huizer Museum Schouten House is a wonderful cultural history museum, the history of houses brings into focus, stores and manages. There is also space for contemporary art, a policy of "past, present, and people." For further information on this policy, click here.   The museum is located in the so-called Schouten or Regt House, located on the outskirts of the historic Fishermans since 1995. The building was originally the front part of a 17th-century farmhouse. In the 19th century this area was rebuilt and raised. Lived there for some time, the sheriff and the city council met in one of the rooms. In 1920 the building was converted into two shops / houses. In 1994, the historic house demolished and rebuilt in the 19th century style.

Pool Sijsjesberg offers numerous amenities that ensure a comfortable and wonderful day of swimming. There are three pools: the deep pool, the instruction pool and paddling pool. The deep bath has a separate jump pit with a 1 - and 3-meter diving board. At the instruction pool is a big family slide. And in the shielded paddling is a water spray park for toddlers. In the surrounding area you will find large sunbathing areas, a playground with sandpit, football pitch and a sun terrace with comfortable sun beds. In the central building you will find a shop where you can buy (open weather permitting). Drinks and hot or cold snacks Less nice days you can get snacks and hot and cold drinks from vending machines. On the Ericaweg is ample parking for cars and at the entrance is a large bicycle.

On Saturdays there is a lively market on the Oude Raadhuisplein in the town center. There are enough parking facilities surrounding the center, and they are all free of charge. That also goes for the car parks. The Saturday goods market is always convivial and attracts many visitors from the surrounding area. The town center is Huizen’s shopping area, and it is most certainly worth a visit. Every Tuesday a goods market is held at the Oostermeent shopping center. This shopping center is also worth a visit. Huizen has four marinas: The municipal marina, ’t Huizerhoofd Marina, Huizer Marina BV marina and the Aanloophaven east of Huizen. The municipal marina has about 400 berths. The marinas are accessible from Lake Gooi through a concrete channel of about 1.90 m deep. There is fixed green light on the western breakwater and a fixed red light on the eastern breakwater. Huizen has become an attractive harbour town in recent years, with convenient facilities, a picturesque Nautical Quarter with hotel accommodation and various catering establishments. In the old Harbour, along the fishing wharf, you will see authentic fishing smacks that remind us of the time when Huizen was an important fishing village. There is a large supermarket within walking distance for daily shopping. The centre of the old village is about a 20-minute walk and takes you past the former fishermen’s houses.
