The Humble Museum collects and displays artifacts depicting local history and heritage, hightlighting oil, cattle, lumber, churches and everyday life in small town Humble and the surrounding area. The Museum was organized as a Bicentennial Project, and was dedicated on July 1, 1976. The original building was a replica of a one room schoolhouse and is located at 111 W. Higgins Street in Humble. A Museum Society and administrative board were set up to direct the Museum operations. Through the work and efforts of the first board of directors, a charter and state approval were secured.
