A concept that developed in France in the early 19th century has come to India in its modern avatar, with The Oak Tree opening the NCR’s first international bistro at the Supermart I at DLF Ph IV. A comfortable restaurant serving most authentic flavors in a modest setting – that’s what a bistro is. The Oak Tree offers a 71 cover, informal eating experience in a cozy, relaxed environment. The brainchild of Ajay Dhar, a young entrepreneur with widely held interests in travel, food and music, The Oak Tree is an oasis in the suburban jungle of Gurgaon, where you can simply drop in after a day of hectic shopping, put up those tired feet and wash away your fatigue with a tall glass of fresh fruit julep or just stroll across in the evening in a pair of shorts for a glass of exquisite French wine. The Oak Tree is all about taking a break from the grind and chilling amidst the comfortable environs of the place.
