Tenuta di Canonica, an ancient watch tower, is located in the heart of Umbria, a top a hill just 6 km from the medieval town of Todi. The perfect location from which to explore all the art towns of central Italy, on the border of Tuscany and about 100 km from Rome. The eight rooms and the three junior suite have been built into the ancient stone structure whose foundation, dating back to the Roman era, bears witness to the "opus incertum" rock wall which runs the entire length of the central base. In the Dependance, near the swimming pool, are two independent Garden Junior Suites each with a kitchenette, separate entrance and private portico. The kitchen of our Restaurant " La Canonica" is committed to using only the finest ingredients - locally produced, where possible - and includes the re-interpretation of some old Umbrian traditional recipes. Simplicity, Quality and Creativity summarise our focus on modern-day, healthy cuisine without compromising tradition or authenticity.
