Founded in 1808 by Dom João VI, the Botanic Garden is an important tourist spot in the city and widely visited by researchers who study the hundreds of species that inhabit it. Featuring rare collections of bromeliads and orchids, as well as centuries old trees and exotic plants, it contains works from the early 16th century, retaining a rich historical and cultural heritage. The park is a great place for rest, picnics and bird watching, as it has over one hundred different species in the crowns and trunks of their trees. Inside the Botanical Garden you will also find the Museu do Meio Ambiente (Environment Museum) and 'Tom Jobim Space' the host concerts, exhibitions, and important cultural events from the city.

Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort was voted by The Telegraph one of the 10 best luxury hotels to stay in Rio de Janeiro. In the survey carried by that media specialists were considered the following aspects: restaurants, bars, leisure area, view and service, in the neighborhoods Copacabana, Ipanema, Barra, Santa Teresa and Leblon. The review emphasizes the location of the resort, the only one in the city with direct access to the beach.
