About us

Newbold House is located in Forres, Scotland. It is a Forres based, residential community and workshop centre based in a stunning Victorian mansion and gardens. We provide retreats and courses which support the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and the land, while also – as a community living here ourselves – developing a sustainable, rewarding lifestyle to share with our guests and visitors. Newbold is an exciting period of growth and development and we are looking for a dynamic person with energy, enthusiasm and commitment to support this. Newbold House hosts a wide variety of workshops and is available to hire for mini-conferences, retreats or regular classes. The facilities we provide include the use of our beautiful function rooms, full accommodation, our comfortable and quiet house and gardens and a great natural setting.

Climb aboard our classic yacht and take in Seattle’s waterfront views of beautiful Lake Union and adjoining waterways. You’ll have the best seat in the house while cruising aboard the classic 42′ Grand Banks yacht, the Rainbird. The Rainbird is meticulously maintained and cared for, and shows it throughout. The vessel offers comfort throughout with comfortable seating in the deck area, a fly bridge deck gives you a second floor viewing area for entertaining and taking in the incredible views of Seattle’s awesome sunsets, and a lounge below-deck to get out of the wind, if desired, with refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. There are also two staterooms, each with its own ‘head’ and shower. The master stateroom has a center island queen bed with an office desk.
