Sabah Tourism Board Building

Historiallinen maamerkki
Located at 51 Gaya Street, this building is one of the three buildings still standing after the allied bombing at the end of World War II. Constructed in 1916 (and completed in 1918) to house the Printing Office, and later the Treasury, Audit Office, a bank and the Post Office, this more than a 100-year-old building is currently the office of Sabah Tourism Board (STB) and serves as a Tourist Information Centre. A “0 KM” plaque was installed on the floors outside of the building to mark the place as the starting point to all places in the state, as the building once served as a post office.
