By Air Cochin International Airport (COK) is a 45-minute drive (32 kms) away. The airport links Cochin to domestic and international cities and offers several direct flights to important destinations. By Train Cochin is well-connected to all the major railway stations in India via two of the cities’ stations – Ernakulam Town (5 kms) and Ernakulam Junction (5.5 kms). By Road Taxis and rental cars are a great way to reach the city as it’s well-linked from other Kerala cities and from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. A network of state and national highways connect Cochin to major cities across India. There are private and government-operated bus services from South and Central India cities to Cochin. Buses also connect Cochin to other cities in the state. By Sea One can reach Cochin by cruise from cities of Goa, Mumbai, Lakshadweep, Sri Lanka, Maldives and South East Asia. The waterways of Kerala’s backwaters offer regular boat services from other parts of the state such as Alleppey, Kottayam, Kumarakom and Kollam.
