The Château Grimaldi was build on the former Greek Acropolis in the 16th century. It was bought in 1925 by Antibes municipality, restored, and became a Museum. Picasso was invited and stayed there 6 months in 1946. When he left, he gave all the work he did there to the museum, which was further renamed the Picasso Museum.

Located on the peninsula of Saint-Roch, the Fort Carré is built on a rock at 26m above sea level. The walkway is 43m high and offers a 360 degree panoramic view. Built on the orders of King Henry II of France in the second half of the sixteenth century, this simply amazing architecture, significantly improved by Vauban, was long used as a sentry post for the nearby border with the County of Nice, hostile at the time, and as a defensive post for Antibes, the last French port before this border.

The Napoleon Museum & Art Gallery

At the very tip of the Cap d'Antibes, the museum is situated in a magnificent location in the shadow of the Tour du Graillon, a former battery Napoleon had restored to a defense post in 1794. It is surrounded by a ten acre park. The second room in the museum evokes the Napoleonic epic specifically around the Emperor's return from Elba. Visitors can admire a bust by Canova representing Napoleon
