Información adicional
Anantara New York Palace is located on the Pest side of the Danube, on elegant Erzsébet Krt, one of the city’s most important boulevards, central and convenient for all major sights and cultural attractions. The building was opened in 1894 as the opulent European headquarters for the New York Life insurance Company. An eclectic, Belle Époque palace, it was designed by Alajos Hauszmann, a famous AustroHungarian architect – and drew on Italian Renaissance, Baroque, Gothic and Art Nouveau influences. It reopened as a luxury hotel in May 2006 and now in 2020 the hotel is added to the portfolio of Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas. The beating heart of the Anantara New York Palace hotel, the New York Café has preserved all the authentic Belle Époque decoration and charm that once made it an inspiration for the enquiring minds of Hungary’s cultural and intellectual community.
