Cancellation Policy
Events may be rescheduled if we are notified 60 days prior for a weekday event (Monday-Thursday). For a weekend event, we must be notified no less than 6 months prior so we may have the opportunity to book the event. Deposit is non-refundable. Should a new event be booked by another party for the same date as you have cancelled for, we will reimburse your deposited amount minus $250 for our trouble. The service provided by Oakleaf Cottage/Rainy Day Properties LLC is unique and Oakleaf makes arrangements a significant time prior to the actual event. If you cancel this contract, Oakleaf Cottage/Rainy Day Properties LLC will suffer damages because of its obligations to those services and inability to book those dates to recover losses. These losses are difficult to measure. Therefore, if you cancel this contract at any time up to 24 weeks prior to the event, Oakleaf Cottage/Rainy Day Properties LLC has the right to keep the deposits as liquidated damages to compensate for expenses and losses which result from cancellations of Contract by you.
