The Hotel Tonnara Trabia is situated at the entrance of Trabia, a village between Palermo and Cefalu, in an area rich in history and natural beauties, near to the Principi Lanza Castle; it was born after a careful restoration of the ancient Tonnara of the XVI century where, in the period between May and June, the ancient ceremony of the so-called "mattanza" took place, a cruel but fascinating tunny fishing which was made under the precise order of the Rais and which was accompanied by songs whose rhythm stressed the fishing.
