From the architectural minds behind Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong has added a new landmark to the downtown skyline. Inspired by the Huangpu River, the hotel features a dramatic atrium that plays with light and color. This sense of creativity is carried throughout the experience, where further investigation unveils layer after layer. Each of the 515 guest rooms and suites, modern and beautiful, overlooks Shanghai or the river. More than 34,000 sq. ft. of meeting space includes a massive, pillar-free ballroom and a culinary theater, revealed through smoked glass, to engage and entertain. Dining includes four restaurants, each with a distinct experience: a stylish grill and bar at Flint; elaborate buffets featuring international dishes at Merchant Kitchen; afternoon tea, light fare and live music at JW Lounge and the three-story Le Manoir Ling offering Cantonese cuisines with French fusion, a rooftop bar, karaoke and private dining.
