About us

Hotel Monterey Group brings a new hotel to Sendai (the City of Trees) called Hotel Monte Hermana. Meaning "sister" in Spanish, the name could also mean Princess Mountain since Monterey derives its name from King's Mountain. The Spanish connection is particularly appropriate in Sendai, as the city's founder, the samurai Masamune Date, funded a rare expedition to Spain in the Middle Ages. This relationship between Spain and Sendai is reflected in the design of the hotel. The hotel is well equipped with 275 rooms and a meeting room for business and leisure purposes.
