NH Tenerife

TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes , is a work of Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron and Virgilio Gutiérrez from the canary islands. This new cultural area, contents several exhibition halls , a library and the Center for Photography Island of Tenerife. It is an innovative idea not only for the island but for the Canary Islands , as it is an unprecedented cultural infrastructure in the archipelago , with a strong contemporary vocation of bringing together the art generated by new technological changes in our society .

The Museum of Nature and Man is located in a prominent building in the island capital, the Old Civil Hospital of Our Lady of the Forsaken, which dates from 1745 and was remodeled in the late nineteenth century by the architect Manuel of Oraá and Arcocha. Its main facade is considered one of the most qualified examples of neoclassical architecture of the islands, which was declared of Cultural Interest with the Monument category in 1983. In the surroundings of the Museum are some of the most emblematic buildings of the city and Santa Cruz de Tenerife: the Church of the Conception, the foundational core center of the city, first built in 1500; Calle de la Noria, one of the most traditional, lively and charming the old town and, finally, as an example of modern architecture in the Barranco de Santos walks, and right next to the Museum, the TEA ( Tenerife Espacio de las Artes), avant-garde building designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron.

The " García Sanabria " Municipal Park is a real botanical garden where the plant species with paths, fountains , gazebos and sculptures , making it the "lungs of Santa Cruz ," the ideal place for leisure and relaxation space of the citizens.

The Tenerife Auditorium "Adán Martín" is the creation of architect Santiago Calatrava. This impressive piece of architecture has a huge sculptural impact and it is well known as a unique landmark. It offers its visitors the opportunity to admire the architecture as well as being able to enjoy the other natural attractions, such as the sea and mountain ranges that form part of the ancient Anaga Mountains. The auditorium has tiered platforms that overspill onto the stunning curved area of the Symphonic Hall. This is surrounded by an impressive wing, suspended at 50 metres giving the sensation of movement and flexibility as though it were animated. In addition to being an architectural masterpiece the Tenerife Auditorium "Adán Martín" also offers a wide variety of programmes that can be viewed on their official website. The variety of contemporary programmes, such as Tenerife Dance Music, Atlantic Jazz and World Music complement the more classical style of the Tenerife Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera and the Festival of Canarian Music.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife has an old town easy route , where trendy restaurants and live entertainment with ancient , emblematic and representative buildings of our tiny capital . It is the most famous and tourist beach of the city of Santa Cruz. It is located at a distance of 7 km from. the city center . It has about half a kilometer walk and fine golden sand, and is protected from the currents and waves by a breakwater so it is ideal for children .
