About us
Yachana Lodge and Center for Geotourism Training is an award-winning, Ecuadorian Amazon ecotourism destination that inspires both thousands of international and national visitors each year. A 2008 winner in the National Geographic Ashoka Changemakers Geotourism Challenge as the best example of Geotourism in the world, the lodge is not only a world-class destination, but also the only lodge in Ecuador actively working with students of ecotourism and sustainable development. Yachana's Main Lodge consists of 18 comfortable rooms, each with a private bath and balcony. Sisa Wasi ("house of the flowers" in Kichwa), Yachana's newest accommodations completed in early 2012, consists of eight well-ventalated rooms with private baths. Each contains one queen size bed plus either one single bed or bunk beds, making the rooms a good option for families and student groups.
