Additional Information
Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is named for Clayoquot Sound, a vast, 62-mile (100km) wide inlet of the Pacific Ocean on Vancouver Island’s wild west coast. The sound is made up of a series of remote inlets, private bays and small islands fed by fresh flowing rivers and surrounded by towering mountains, plunging gorges, and pristine, old-growth cedar and western hemlock forest. An ancient landscape carved by the ocean, the Clayoquot environment is richly biodiverse. Guided by time and nature alone, the coastal ecosystem has evolved freely and now plays host to thousands of species of flora and fauna. Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is set on the Bedwell River, right on the doorstep of this pure wilderness and her guests are rewarded with exclusive access to one of nature’s most astonishing amphitheatres.
