Local Attractions

Old Phuket Town

Historical landmark
26 km away
Discover the island's rich culture and fascinating past with a trip to Old Phuket Town. Wander narrow streets lined with colourful Sino-Portuguese shop houses. Soak in the charming atmosphere with a cooling drink at a street-side café. Old Phuket Town is the perfect place for a day of stress-free exploration. We recommend exploring on foot, but you can hire a tuk-tuk or other form of transport to explore the town if you wish. If you do decide to walk, start your trip at the Central Post Office, then head west to Ranong Road and proceed to Patiphat Road, which connects with the historic Krabi Road.

Phi Phi Island

Recreation
Famous throughout the world for its astonishing beauty, Koh Phi Phi is an idyllic island retreat with beautiful beaches, amazing snorkelling and sparkling turquoise seas. Tour the islands, enjoy some water sports, then stop on a secluded beach for a laid back lunch. A trip to Phi Phi Island is a perfect daytime excursion.

Big Buddha

Historical landmark
32 km away
Phuket's iconic Big Buddha, also known as The Great Buddha of Phuket, is one of the most important and revered landmarks on the island. The 45-metre-tall statue, situated inland on the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata, can be seen from as far away as Phuket Town and Karon Beach. The Big Buddha is just a scenic one-hour drive from our resort.

Promthep Cape

Historical landmark
31 km away
Enjoy stunning vistas of the Andaman Sea from Phromthep Cape (Laem Phromthep) – Phuket's southernmost point. Local villagers used to refer to the headland as Laem Chao, 'God’s Cape', and it was an easily recognisable landmark for the early seafarers travelling north from Malaysia. Look out for the lighthouse, which houses interesting maritime artefacts and commands spectacular views over the east and southeast of the island and the waters beyond. The cape is a scenic one-hour drive from the resort.

Wat Chalong

Historical landmark
32 km away
Wat Chalong, Phuket's largest and most-visited temple, has been welcoming visitors for well over a century. Widely recognised as the most important of Phuket's temples, it offers visitors an opportunity to learn about Buddhism and pay their respects amid the tranquil grounds and beautiful architecture. Wat Chalong is located inland in the south of the island, less than an hour’s drive from the resort.

Similan Islands

Recreation
Witness the beauty of the Andaman in the most unspoilt setting imaginable at Similan Islands Natural Park. Embark on a seafaring adventure of white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, beautiful corals and abundant marine life. A day trip to the Similan Islands is an unforgettable experience that should not be missed. Spectacular throughout the year, the islands are best seen between April and November.

Elephant Jungle Sanctuary

Recreation
18 km away
Located on the east side of the island, about 30 minutes from the resort, Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is a final home for rescued and retired elephants, where they have 30 acres of tropical jungle to roam free. The sanctuary does not condone practices that may crowd or stress these beautiful creatures – such as bathing or rides – ensuring the best-possible experience for both visitors and elephants.

Lard Yai Sunday Night Market

Nightlife
The sleepy streets of Old Phuket Town burst to life each Sunday afternoon as dozens of stalls and vendors set up shop on the beautifully renovated Thalang Road. You’ll find all kinds of souvenirs, curiosities and delicacies as you wander from stall to stall, each inspired by the local confluence of Baba (Chinese migrant), Thai Muslim and Indian cultures. It is also a wonderful opportunity to discover some southern Thai culinary specialties and local handicrafts. This bustling weekly market runs from 16:00 to 22:00 every Sunday.
