Joslyn Art Museum was a gift to the people of Omaha from Sarah Joslyn in memory of her husband, George. From its first day, November 29, 1931, to today, the Museum has welcomed millions of visitors from around the world. The Joslyn’s collection of over 12,000 objects represents 5,000 years of human creativity and the world’s diverse cultures. The campus comprises three stunning buildings—distinct yet connected—surrounded by sculpture gardens. Learning and engagement opportunities abound, and general admission is free to all, always.

Lauritzen Gardens is a 100 acre public garden located in the heart of downtown Omaha, Nebraska. As a tranquil oasis for personal escape or a destination to learn about the wonders of the natural world, Lauritzen Gardens is a place of joy, beauty, inspiration, education, and reflection in our community. The garden cultivates a diverse living plant collection, offers creative nature-based educational programs, and executes significant work to conserve endangered plants of the Great Plains. A longtime and iconic feature of downtown Omaha, Gene Leahy Mall is the most urban of The RiverFront’s three parks, spanning from 13th to 8th streets between Douglas and Farnam streets, with towering buildings on either side. Since its inception as the Central Park Mall in the 1970s, this area has remained rich with Omaha history including the Solo Building archway and beloved slides, both located near 11th and Farnam streets. In the 1990s, Central Park Mall was renamed Gene Leahy Mall after former Omaha Mayor Eugene A. Leahy. The transformation of Gene Leahy Mall began in 2019, redesigning the entire area and raising the park up to street level, which added over 40,000 square feet of lawn space in the heart of Omaha’s urban core. Along with the preservation of park artifacts, The RiverFront renovations also added a number of new features including a performance pavilion for live music, a sculpture garden filled with interesting works of art, a state-of-the-art playground and a modern dog park.

Omaha Children's Museum is in the top 15% of children's museums nationally. The museum features over 45,000 square feet of exhibit space, with permanent exhibits including: Charlie Campbell Science & Technology Center, Creative Arts Center, Imagination Playground (early childhood area). In addition to its permanent exhibits, Omaha Children's Museum offers educational programs, traveling exhibitions, field trips, outreach programs, summer camps and birthday parties.

CHI Health Center Omaha is the centerpiece of downtown Omaha’s $2 billion riverfront revitalization. It’s a hybrid facility that offers the versatility of over 346,000 square feet of convention center space with an 18,300-seat attached arena, making it a top choice for event and meeting planners. The convention center at CHI Health Center Omaha consists of 194,000 square feet of contiguous exhibition space, more than 63,000 square feet of meeting space including 16 meeting rooms, a 30,996 square foot ballroom and an extra 79,400 square feet of pre-function space. A glass-enclosed skywalk links the convention center to the 600-room AAA Four Diamond Hilton Omaha with an additional 15 meeting rooms, creating a convenient enhancement to our convention facilities.

Omaha’s world-renowned Henry Doorly Zoo is home to over 17,000 animals housed in both indoor and outdoor exhibits, making it a great activity during summer and winter months alike. Hop on the historic train for a ride around the zoo, or get a bird’s eye view on the Aerial Skyfari chairlift.
