The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. A traditional coffee shop, its menu consists of dark roasted coffee and chicory, beignets, white and chocolate milk, and fresh squeezed orange juice. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and only closes on Christmas Day or during a hurricane.

New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center

The freshly renovated New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is an essential component of what makes the city's major business events so successful. With 1.1 million square feet of contiguous exhibit space, the Convention Center is the sixth largest convention facility in the nation, and it consistently ranks in the country's top ten of facilities that hold the most conventions and trade shows annually. A $60 million linear park development along Convention Center Boulevard is under way, which will include dining, entertainment, retail and people movers. The Boulevard will be landscaped and lit with outdoor seating along the entire length of the Convention Center. This is the first step of the Convention Center District Development Project which will revitalize 47 acres of land upriver from the Center.

Louisiana Children's Museum

The Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) will “take it outside” as it moves to its new location in New Orleans City Park in 2019. The 56,000 square foot museum will include five interactive exhibits including a 100-foot long mighty Mississippi water exhibit. The new location has been specifically designed to be a social, cultural and learning resource for young children and their families focusing on literacy, environmental education, health and wellness, STEM, arts and culture.

The National WWII Museum

Since its opening day on D-Day – June 6, 2000 – nearly two million visitors have toured the National WWII Museum. A must-see for history lovers and all patriots, it has been designated by the U.S. Congress as America’s official WWII Museum. Powerful images and extraordinary artifacts bring to life the American Spirit, the courage, teamwork and sacrifice of the young men and women who won the war and changed the world. From the 1930s prelude to war, to the Normandy Invasion and the battles of the Pacific Islands, visitors trace America's role in the war and on the Home Front. Slated to open 2019, the Bollinger Canopy of Peace, set to stand 150 feet tall will take its place as a new fixture on the New Orleans skyline. During the daytime, the towering bright-white Canopy will serve as a beacon to visitors and locals alike; after sundown, a state-of-the-art lighting system will transform the Canopy and its support legs into a stunning new nighttime landmark for the city.

Jackson Square

Known as one of New Orleans’ most recognizable landmarks, Jackson Square is a National Historic Landmark nestled in the center of the French Quarter. The 2.5-acre space welcomes over 2 million visitors and locals each year and hosts a number of city events and celebrations, weddings and photography sessions. The landmark earns its name for the bronze statue of Andrew Jackson located in the center of the square. Jackson Square also serves as an open-artist colony, where artists and musicians display their latest works.

The Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) is the home of modern multidisciplinary arts programming in the South.
