In the Kasbah quarter of the ancient Marrakesh medina, easily accessible by taxi, minibus and horse-drawn caleche and only yards from the Royal Palace, Les Borjs de la Kasbah is a newly-created boutique hotel meticulously developed by craftsmen over a period of four years from a complex of six small town houses and one riad. The appeal of this exclusive 'hotel de charme', opened in 2006, stems from the blend of its arabo-moorish character and contemporary refinement. No less striking is the contrast between the bustling streets of the Kasbah outside and the tranquil, intimate atmosphere within where discreet but professional service adds the finishing touch to one of the most appealing luxury spa hotels in the medina. As well as its 18 en-suite bedrooms, including 3 single rooms and 3 suites, the hotel provides a number of small but comfortably-appointed public rooms including a lounge bar and dining room located on opposite sides of the open restaurant patio with its mosaic-decorated ornamental wall fountain and electrically-operated sliding glass roof. Les Borjs de la Kasbah can be booked in its entirety for special events and celebratory occasions. Given its maximum capacity of 33 people and comprehensive range of facilities (restaurant, bar, lounges, spa and pool), the hotel is an ideal venue for small and medium sized reunions of family and friends, anniversary celebrations and other such events. Les Borjs is also ideal for golf parties and study groups.
