The award-winning Restaurant Galleria Arté al Lago is the pride of the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola. A unique restaurant in Ticino inside an art gallery, overlooking the waters of Lake Lugano, offering a breathtaking view. It has 16 Gault&Millau points and is the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Lugano. The lavish rooms host works of art by various artists of international renown, with themed exhibitions that change twice a year, creating an exclusive setting. Head Chef Frank Oerthle, awarded ‘newcomer chef of the year 2009‘ for Ticino, has been at the restaurant since it was opened in 2001.
