InterContinental Hangzhou Liangzhu

Liangzhu Museum is located in Meilizhou Park,Liangzhu Street,Yuhang District, Hangzhou City,Zhejiang Province. It is an archaeological site museum that collects, studies, displays and promotes Liangzhu Culture. The area of the museum architecture is about 10,000 square meters and the construction started in March 2005.The museum has been open to the public since September2008. In August 2017, in accordance with the latest archaeological achievements of the Liangzhu Site and Liangzhu Culture, the regular exhibition was renovated and upgraded, and the museum re-opened to the public in June 2018.

Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, located in Yuhang District,Hangzhou City,Zhejiang Province, China, was the center of power and belief of the Liangzhu Culture.The large-scale City Site, the Peripheral Water Conservancy System with complex functions, the stratified cemeteries (including altar) and a series of other related sites, as well as excavated objects represented by serial jade artifacts symbol- izing belief and institution reveal the existence of an early regional state supported by rice farming with obvious social stratification and unity of belief in the area. Its early time of formation, great achievement and rich diversities show the outstanding contribution made by the Yangtze River Basin to the "Diversity in Unity" feature of the origin of Chinese civilization. It is an outstanding representation of large-scale settlement sites in Neolithic East Asia in the development of human civilizations and a holy place offering unique evidences for the 5,000-year history of Chinese civilization.
