Gettysburg is known for history and Adams County is known for apples, but we are slowly making our mark on the wine, cider and spirits world. Be sure to plan an afternoon or two just to taste your way across the county – and into our neighboring communities.

Regardless of the season, Liberty always has options available. Full table service dining can be found in Eagle & the Owl Public House open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great views, great beers, creative pub food...Eagle & The Owl in the Highland Lodge is a favorite for locals and guests alike! The Highland Lodge is also home to Ike's Chophouse, a casual yet refined chophouse open on the weekends and available for reservations. The Putter's Pub Patio Grill, adjacent to the Carroll Valley Golf Course, is ideal for a light lunch or late afternoon snack. Stop by during golf season in between holes! In the winter months, the options expand even further with multiple outlets available throughout the resort. McKee's Tavern offers lunch dinner, drinks, and even a mug club available to take advantage of all winter long!

The Carroll Valley Golf 18-hole championship course is located in a valley set amidst the picturesque rolling hills of South Central Pennsylvania, at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A clear flowing mountain stream fronts nearly a third of the holes which uniquely feature six par 3's and five par 5's. This par 71 course, designed by Ault, Clark & Associates is a true championship length course. And now you can play golf year round, night or day! The Pro Shop features two state-of-the-art golf simulators. All you have to do is make a 'tee time' and you can golf any of 26 courses, play a variety of challenges, or just hit the driving range, all from the comfort of the indoors.

In Gettysburg, a battle raged through this small south-central Pennsylvania town.
