Close to Shop Street and most central attractions in Galway, Kirwan’s Lane is the ideal restaurant for a casual lunch or dinner, or a special celebration. Our restaurant is located in the heart of the medieval center of Galway in the historical Kirwan’s Lane, which still exhibits a strong presence of 16th and 17th century architecture. Owner Mike O’Grady opened the two-floor restaurant in 1996, soon after the lane was restored from its derelict state. We offer modern Irish food prepared with quality fresh local produce. Our specialty is seasonal seafood, but diners have plenty of choice, from meat to vegetarian dishes.
