About us
Inaugurated as a five-star hotel in 1989, Quinta da Bela Vista is surrounded by the majestic landscape of Madeira and benefits from mild weather throughout the year. Conveniently situated in Funchal, just over a mile from the town centre. Combining the traditions of the past and the art of fine hospitality, the hotel sits on two and a half acres of exotic and luxuriant gardens, full of plants from all over the world that inspire moments of peace, pleasure and communion with nature. Every space evokes the building’s majestic history, tradition and good taste, providing a uniquely peaceful atmosphere. Contemplate the priceless private antique collection that spans three centuries of European culture. Attention to detail, committed staff, first-class cuisine, numerous leisure facilities and stunning surroundings ensure a memorable break. Private indoor banqueting facilities for up to 130 people and outdoor function areas are available, overlooking the gardens, mountains, bay and ocean. All provide spectacular settings for corporate, incentive and social events. HOTEL FACILITIES The complex includes two restaurants, known in the region for their fine cuisine. A full European breakfast and a table d’hôte menu are served in the Avista Navios restaurant. A la carte is offered in Casa Mãe – where authentic antiques, carved woodwork, tapestries, paintings and exquisite cuisine create a feast for the eyes and palate. Gala dinners and Madeiran buffets can be arranged. Guests enjoy discounted green fees at the two superb courses close to the hotel. Back onsite, leisure facilities include a small fitness room with both a jacuzzi and sauna, freshwater outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, billiards room and library. Quinta da Bela Vista’s boat can be chartered by guests.
