Offenbach is best known as a center for the leather goods industry. The German Leather Museum, the “House of City History”, the Taunus, Spessart and Odenwald low mountain ranges make Offenbach an ideal starting point for exploring the Rhine-Main area. You can explore the nearby financial metropolis of Frankfurt am Main with a city tour or on foot. The city's oldest building - the Old Town Hall - in the Roman Quarter, the Museumsufer and the Main Tower are popular destinations. You can end the day in Sachsenhausen, for example, with a good Hessian “Ebbelwoi” – or of course at our bar. Offenbach ist vor allem als Zentrum der Lederwarenindustrie bekannt. The weather park in Offenbach is a park open to the public, where everything thematically revolves around the topic of weather. In the visitor centre of the Rhine-Main Regional Park and on exciting guided tours, visitors can learn more about the weather and climate. The weather park, which opened in 2005, is a joint project of the city of Offenbach, the German weather Service based here and the Regionalpark Ballungsraum Rhein-Main gGmbH. The 20,000 square metre educational and adventure trail conveys the interplay of sun, air and water at various stations. Weather phenomena are explained scientifically in a generally understandable way and can be experienced by the senses.
