Greater Fort Lauderdale/ Broward County Convention Center's $1.3 billion expansion offers meeting planners endless possibilities. 1.2 million sq ft of space including 350,000 sq ft of exhibit space, a 65K waterfront ballroom, 6-acre outdoor tropical plaza, 801 room OMNI headquarter hotel and a water taxi and yacht charter dock. Known as the "Venice of America", the venue offers panoramic water views through a soaring glass wall of the cruise port and the waterway. The conference and meeting space on three levels of expansive architecture and distinctive décor. The exhibit hall divides into 3 sections, there are two ballrooms and 23 meeting rooms that can be configured in a variety of ways to meet the needs of any group. Proud to be one of the first LEED Gold Certified Convention Centers in the county, which includes saving water and energy, increasing recycling and waste diversion efforts, and conducting sustainable purchasing. Phase 2 of East expansion will be complete in 2025: Hotel package: The Convention & Visitors Bureau offers the Lauderdale Convention Collection, a partnership with six upscale hotels located within a short distance to provide up to 2,700 rooms.
